KNEE DISARTICULATION PROSTHESIS (THROUGH KNEE LIMB)
Disability is a global issue and a significant public health problem. World Health Organization estimates a 15% of prevalence disability globally, with the majority of persons with disability (PWD) living in developing countries.
Persons with lower limb disability require assistive devices in the form of orthoses and prostheses, without which they face activity limitations, participation restrictions, and can poorer health and quality of life.
A Knee Disarticulation Prosthesis (KDP) is an artificial limb that replaces any amputated limb through knee joint as a result of diabetes, peripheral vascular disease, and trauma.
